This serves as the
parish church for the people living around the cathedral in the area known
as 'The Close'. There is a beautiful font which has the 7 sacraments
carved on it and came from the church of St.Mary in the Marsh which was
destroyed in the 16th century. On the altar is the cathedral's rarest work
of art known as the Despenser Reredos and dates back to the 14th century.
